Recipe Questions & Answers

What type of milk works best for this latte?

Any milk can be used, including dairy, oat, almond, or soy, depending on your preference or dietary needs. Each lends a unique creaminess to the drink.

How do I prevent matcha from clumping?

Sifting the matcha powder before whisking and using hot water (not boiling) helps dissolve it smoothly and avoid lumps.

Can I adjust the sweetness of the latte?

Yes, you can vary the amount of maple syrup or honey to suit your taste, adding more or less during heating.

Is it possible to make a vegan version?

Absolutely. Use plant-based milk and vegan-friendly whipped toppings to keep it entirely plant-based.

How strong is the peppermint flavor?

The peppermint extract adds a refreshing mint note; start with a small amount and adjust to preferred intensity to avoid overpowering the matcha.

Can I prepare this latte ahead of time?

It’s best enjoyed fresh for optimal frothiness and flavor, though you can prepare components in advance and combine before serving.
